Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- plain flour - 5 c
- shortening Crisco - 3/4 c
- yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and add buttermilk and dissolved yeast. Work with a spoon. Cover and refrigerate until needed. Spoon out on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 400°. Will keep 2 weeks in refrigerator.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
