Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- Amaretto - 1/2 c
- vegetable shortening - 1 c
- sliced almonds - 1 c
- orange extract - 1 tsp
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- orange marmalade
- apricot preserves - 5 oz
- flour all-purpose - 3 c
- room temperature eggs - 6 item
- Add sour cream and beat well
How to make amaretto cake:
Glaze:10 oz. orange marmalade5 oz. apricot preserves1/4 c. Amaretto1 c. sliced almonds Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs. Add sour cream and beat well. Add almond, orange, vanilla and lemon flavorings, soda and salt. Then gradually beat in flour. Add 1/2 cup Amaretto. Pour into large greased tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
