Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- sifted flour - 3 c
- apricot brandy - 1/2 c
- rum - 1/2 tsp
- orange extract - 1 tsp
- lemon extract - 1/2 tsp
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream together sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat each. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda and stir into mixture. Add sour cream and mix. Add extracts, rum and brandy and mix. Pour into well-greased, well-floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 70 to 80 minutes, until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
