Yam and apple bake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1/4 c
- water - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- lemon extract - 1/2 tsp
- large apples - 3 item
- very large yams - 2 item
How to make yam and apple bake:
Peel yams after cooking. Steam 1/2-inch yam slices with 1 cup of water. Do not overcook. Cut apples in 1/2-inch slices. Mix sugar, cornstarch, 2 cups of water and margarine in a heavy pan until thick. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and lemon extract.
