White fruit cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/2 lb
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour
- candied cherries - 3/4 lb
- candied pineapple - 1 lb
- Brazil nuts - 2 c
- pecans whole - 4 c
How to make white fruit cake:
Leave fruit in large pieces. Blend butter and sugar until fluffy. Add beaten eggs and blend. Mix nuts with 1/4 cup of flour. Sift the remaining flour and baking powder together. Add vanilla and blend with butter, sugar and egg mixture. Pour over nuts and fruit. Bake in greased tube pan at 250° for 3 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, American, North american.
