Vinegar cookies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
How to make vinegar cookies:
Cream butter, shortening and sugars thoroughly. Add eggs and mix well. Add vinegar and blend. Sift flour and baking soda 4 times. (It is important to sift 4 times; it makes them lighter.) Sift into the creamed mixture, a little at a time. Add extracts and make into little balls. Press flat with a fork.
