  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of hot sauce - 1 item
  • 9-inch pie crust
  • large eggs, beaten - 3 item
  • Vidalia onions, thinly sliced - 2 lb

How to make vidalia onion pie:

Roll out crust and place into pie pan. Refrigerate. Heat oven to 450°. Saute onions in butter until crisp-tender. Remove from heat. Mix eggs and sour cream. Stir in onions and seasonings. Pour into crust and top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 450° for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° and continue baking for 20 more minutes until top and crust are golden. Cool on wire rack and serve warm. Good with roasted or grilled pork or poultry.
