Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 3/4
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- oleo - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- saltines, crushed - 25 item
- medium onions, sliced in rings - 4 item
How to make vidalia onion casserole:
Melt oleo in a skillet. Saute onion over medium heat until clear. Place 1/2 of saltine crumbs in the bottom of casserole dish. Add 1/2 of sauteed onions to mushroom soup. Add 1/2 of milk and spread a layer over onions. Add the other 1/2 of onions and then the rest of soup. Combine the eggs and the rest of the milk and pour over all. Top with crumbs and cheese. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until slightly brown and bubbly.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Casseroles.
