Veggie pizza
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 Tbsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1/4 c
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- tomato sauce - 2 Tbsp
- sliced onions - 1 c
- vegetables, in bite size pieces such as zucchini, green pepper, mushrooms, etc - 2 c
- dash of oregano and basil - 1 item
- large or 3 regular pita breads, split and toasted under broiler - 2 item
How to make veggie pizza:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until transparent and tender. Add vegetables, cover and steam for a few minutes until crisp but tender. Stir in tomato sauce, water, oregano and basil. Sprinkle with cheese and place under broiler until cheese is bubbly. Cut each with pizza cutter into fourths.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Appetizers, Pizza.
