Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- whole wheat flour
- grated cheese - 1 c
- basil - 1 tsp
- onion, diced - 1/3 c
- oleo or butter - 1/2 c
- plain yogurt - 1/2 c
- mayo - 1/3 c
- medium tomatoes, sliced - 2 item
- broccoli, chopped
How to make vegetable pie:
Filling:2 c. broccoli, chopped1/3 c. onion, diced1 c. grated cheese2 medium tomatoes, sliced1/3 c. mayo1 tsp. basil Cut oleo into flour, baking powder and salt. Add yogurt to this crumbly mixture. Pat the dough into greased 9 or 10-inch pie plate. Layer filling over crust in order given. (Any vegetable can be added to or substituted for the broccoli.) Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 1/2 hour.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Vegetarian, Oven.
