Vegetable beef soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- hot water - 2 c
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- chopped celery - 3/4 c
- dried thyme - 1/8 tsp
- chives - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaf, crumbled - 1/2 tsp
- dried sweet basil - 1/8 tsp
- can tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
- carrots, thinly sliced - 2 item
- diced potato - 3/4 c
- diced turnip - 1/2 c
- very lean ground beef - 1/2 lb
How to make vegetable beef soup:
Brown ground beef and onion in a large saucepan. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Yield: 4 servings.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Soups & stews, Beef.
