Traditional pumpkin pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- packed brown sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 2 tsp
- can solid-pack pumpkin - 1 oz
- 9-inch deep-dish unbaked pie shells - 2 item
- evaporated milk undiluted - 2 c
- each: ground cloves, nutmeg and ginger - 1/2 tsp
How to make traditional pumpkin pie:
Beat eggs in a mixing bowl. Add pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon, salt, cloves, nutmeg and ginger; beat just until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Pour into pie shells. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°; bake 40 to 45 minutes longer orRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
