Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/3 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- tomato juice
- ground cumin - 1 tsp
- can condensed beef broth - 1 1/2
- A - 1 Tbsp
- can condensed chicken broth - 1 1/2
- jalapenos, chopped - 3 item
- can whole tomatoes, chopped with juice - 1 oz
- corn tortillas, cut in 1 inch pieces - 6 item
How to make tortilla soup:
In a large pot, saute onion in oil, then add rest of the ingredients, except tortillas and cheese. Bring to a boil; lower heat and simmer 1 hour. Remove from heat and add tortillas and cheese. Serve in 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Soups & stews, North american.
