Tomato juice
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- medium onions - 10 item
- bushel tomatoes - 1 item
- large bunch celery - 1 item
- parsley or 2 large bunches - 6 Tbsp
- bags carrots tops and all - 2 item
How to make tomato juice:
For each quart jar:1 tsp. salt1 tsp. sugar Boil tomatoes, celery, onions, parsley and carrots all together. Do this until tomatoes are soft. Run through a colander or Foley food mill. Return to stove and boil for about 10 more minutes adding salt and sugar to each quart. Pour liquid into the clean jars and cold pack for about 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Vegetables.
