Tomato gravy
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- bacon drippings - 2 tsp
- stewed tomatoes with liquid - 2 c
How to make tomato gravy:
Heat drippings in small iron skillet over low (300°) heat. Sprinkle flour over drippings and brown. Add stewed tomatoes with liquid. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook slowly for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve over hot buttermilk biscuits or rice.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Vegetables, North american.
