Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 2 c
  • dry mustard - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • cans tomatoes - 2 lb
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • red pepper - 1 item
  • can crab meat - 1 1/2
  • large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • bacon drippings - 4 Tbsp
  • gumbo file - 1 tsp
  • clean shrimp - 3 lb
  • raw oysters - 1 c
  • can cut okra - 1 1/2

How to make seafood gumbo:

Combine all ingredients, except seafood. Cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours. Add seafood. Cook slowly until done. May eat over rice. Serves 8 to 10.
