Toll house pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- 6 oz - 1 c
- whipped cream or ice cream optional - 1 item
- butter, melted and cooled to room temperature - 1 c
- deep dish pie shell, unbaked - 1 item
How to make toll house pie:
Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Add flour, sugar and brown sugar; beat until well blended. Blend in melted butter. Stir in chocolate morsels and walnuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 325° for 1 hour. Remove from oven and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes one 9-inch pie. Recipe may be doubled. Bake two pies and freeze one for later.In honor of Eula Johnson.
