Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • 6 oz - 1 c
  • whipped cream or ice cream optional - 1 item
  • butter, melted and cooled to room temperature - 1 c
  • deep dish pie shell, unbaked - 1 item

How to make toll house pie:

Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Add flour, sugar and brown sugar; beat until well blended. Blend in melted butter. Stir in chocolate morsels and walnuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 325° for 1 hour. Remove from oven and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes one 9-inch pie. Recipe may be doubled. Bake two pies and freeze one for later.
