Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- egg - 1 item
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- oats - 1 c
- dash chocolate frosting - 1 item
How to make toffee bars:
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat thoroughly. Sift together flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.Spread evenly in a 7 x 11-inch baking pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350°. Spread warm dark chocolate frosting over bars. Sprinkle with nuts. When cool, cut into bars. Makes about 32 bars.
