  • milk - 1/3 c
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • box confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • Icing:1 stick margarine

How to make texas sheet cake:

Icing:1 stick margarine3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 box confectioners sugar1 c. chopped nuts Mix flour and sugar; set aside. In a saucepan, bring to a boil the margarine, cocoa and water. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk to dry mixture; mix well. Add mixture to saucepan and remove from heat. Mix well. Place mixture in greased cookie sheet and bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.

Five minutes before cake is done, heat margarine, cocoa and milk in saucepan until margarine is melted. Add remaining icing ingredients. Spread icing on cake immediately after removing from oven, then cool completely before serving.
