- salt - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- fat
- medium onions - 2 item
- uncooked rice - 1/4 c
- small green pepper, minced - 1 item
- cooked tomatoes - 1 c
How to make texas hash:
Preheat oven to 350°. Saute onions and green pepper in hot fat until yellow. Add ground beef and fry until mixture falls apart. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 1-quart baking dish. Cover and bake for 1 hour, removing cover last 15 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 2 generous servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
