Shipwreck stew
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- fat - 2 Tbsp
- sliced onion - 3/4 c
- uncooked rice - 1/4 c
- kidney beans - 2 c
- can tomato soup and water - 1 item
How to make shipwreck stew:
Melt fat; cook onion. Put in meat, rice, celery and beans. Combine seasonings and soup and pour over meat mixture. Cook 2 hours very slowly in covered skillet.From the Elizabeth Fogle Collection.
