Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- chopped green onion - 1 c
- tortilla chips - 1 item
- taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
- container sour cream - 1 (8
- medium-size ripe avocados - 3 item
- cans plain or jalapeno bean dip - 2 item
- medium-size tomatoes, coarsely chopped - 3 item
- cans pitted black olives, chopped - 2 item
How to make tex mex dip:
Peel, pit and mash avocados in medium-size bowl with lemon juice, salt and pepper. In another bowl, combine sour cream with mayonnaise and taco seasoning.To Assemble: Spread bean dip on a large shallow serving platter. Top with seasoned avocado mixture, then layer with sour cream taco mix. Sprinkle olives, tomatoes and onion on top. Then cover with shredded cheese. Serve chilled or at room temperature with tortilla chips.
