Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • oil - 1/2 tsp
  • yogurt - 1 c
  • cloves garlic - 3 item
  • black pepper - 1 tsp
  • green onions - 8 item
  • cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  • green chilies - 3 item
  • coriander seed - 1/2 tsp
  • fresh ginger - 1 tsp
  • lemons, sliced - 2 item
  • chicken, cut in 8 pieces - 1 (3

How to make tandoori chicken:

Skin the chicken. Make deep cuts in the meat with the point of the knife. Sprinkle with salt and rub with vinegar. Allow to stand 15 minutes.

Grind ginger, garlic, coriander seed, pepper, cumin seed and oil in a blender. Beat in yogurt. Put chicken in to marinate in this mixture for 4 to 5 hours.

Cook over charcoal or on a grill. Serve with sliced lemons and green onions.
