Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • clove garlic - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 2
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • yellow cornmeal
  • onions, chopped - 2 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • ripe olives - 1 2
  • can creamed corn - 1 item
  • eggs unbeaten - 3 item
  • 2 1/2 can tomatoes or 3 c

How to make tamale pie casserole:

Fry onions and garlic slowly in oil until tender. Add meat and brown quickly. Add green pepper, then remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a large (3-quart), greased casserole or baking dish (13 x 9-inch). Bake at 250° for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until firm. Serves 10 to 12.
