Szechuan broccoli
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 2 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- sesame seed - 1 Tbsp
- crushed red pepper - 1/4 1/2
- rice or cider vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- peeled, minced ginger - 1/2 tsp
- coarsely chopped broccoli flowerets and stems about 1/2 bunch - 5 c
How to make szechuan broccoli:
Combine soy sauce, vinegar and sugar in a small bowl; set aside. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add sesame seed; cook 1 minute or until browned. Remove seed and set aside.Add oil and next 3 ingredients to skillet; stir-fry 30 seconds. Add broccoli; stir-fry 1 minute. Add soy sauce mixture; stir well. Cover and cook 2 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Sprinkle with sesame seed. Yield: 4 servings.
