Ingredients/Components
- salt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- onion - 1 item
- round steak
How to make swiss steak:
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Pound both sides of steak with a mallet or edge of saucer. Brown in oil in a large skillet. Pour off excess oil. Add onions, garlic, tomato sauce and water. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Makes 4 or 5 servings.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
