  • salt
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 item
  • clove garlic - 1 item
  • onion - 1 item
  • round steak

How to make swiss steak:

Combine flour, salt and pepper. Pound both sides of steak with a mallet or edge of saucer. Brown in oil in a large skillet. Pour off excess oil. Add onions, garlic, tomato sauce and water. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Makes 4 or 5 servings.
