Sweet-sour pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- orange juice - 1 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- pork chops loin or shoulder - 6 item
How to make sweet-sour pork chops:
Mix ginger, salt, pepper, paprika and flour together. Coat both sides of chops in this mixture. Melt shortening in skillet; add chops and cook over low heat until browned on both sides. Pour in orange juice and vinegar; sprinkle with sugar. Cook over a low heat for 40 minutes or until chops are tender when tested with a fork. Serves 4 to 6.May substitute pineapple juice.
