Sweet-sour bean salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vinegar - 1 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- chopped pimentos - 2 item
- 2 can kidney beans, drained
- 303 can each of wax beans and green beans, drained
- frozen baby lima beans, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
- salt and seasoned salt to taste - 1 item
How to make sweet-sour bean salad:
Cook the frozen lima beans until fork-tender. Combine drained beans with chopped celery, onion, green pepper and pimentos. Combine sugar, vinegar and oil in a saucepan; bring to boil. Add salt and seasoned salt; set aside to cool. Pour dressing over salad. Refrigerate and stir occasionally. Prepare this salad the day before using.
