Sweet-sour bean salad



  • sugar
  • vinegar - 1 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • chopped pimentos - 2 item
  • 2 can kidney beans, drained
  • 303 can each of wax beans and green beans, drained
  • frozen baby lima beans, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
  • salt and seasoned salt to taste - 1 item

How to make sweet-sour bean salad:

Cook the frozen lima beans until fork-tender. Combine drained beans with chopped celery, onion, green pepper and pimentos. Combine sugar, vinegar and oil in a saucepan; bring to boil. Add salt and seasoned salt; set aside to cool. Pour dressing over salad. Refrigerate and stir occasionally. Prepare this salad the day before using. Serve with slotted spoon.
