Sweet roll dough
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 7 7
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- warm water - 1/2 c
- soft shortening - 1/2 c
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- lukewarm milk
- warm water 105~ to 115~ - 1/2 c
How to make sweet roll dough:
Melt shortening in the warm water. Dissolve yeast in same water in large mixing bowl. Mix well. Add sugar, salt, eggs, milk and baking powder. Slowly add 1 cup flour while scraping sides. Add flour until stiff enough to knead. Add flour to soft dough, about 5 minutes. Let rise. Mix down once. Shape into rolls, coffee cake, tea ring, cinnamon rolls or pecan rolls.
