Ingredients/Components
- stewed sweet potatoes, mashed or 1 large can yams - 3 c
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
- coconut - 1 c
- brown sugar
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- flour self-rising - 1/2 c
- stick butter or margarine, melted - 1 item
How to make sweet potato casserole:
Topping:1 c. brown sugar1 c. pecans, chopped1/2 c. flour (self-rising)1 stick butter or margarine, melted Mix first 7 ingredients together and pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.For topping, mix sugar and flour; add pecans and mix well. Add butter or margarine. If mixture is too thick, add 2 to 3 tablespoons hot water. Spread over potatoes and bake 30 minutes at 350° or until brown.
