Sweet potato biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- Crisco - 3 4
- sweet potatoes, that have been baked, peeled and mashed - 2 c
- sugar to start go by taste
How to make sweet potato biscuits:
Mix all ingredients, except sweet potatoes, until resembles coarse crumbs. Add sweet potatoes and sugar. You just have to add 1/2 cup sugar and mix in well and taste, if you like them sweeter, add more sugar. Go by your taste.Either shape with hands or roll out and cut on floured surface. Bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on how brown you want them, same as regular biscuits.
