- burpless cucumbers 6-inches long - 75 item
- plain salt - 1 pt
- alum - 3 tsp
- vinegar - 5 pt
- sugar - 6 c
- pickling spice - 1 pkg
How to make sweet pickles:
Place cucumbers in stone or glass jar. Cover with boiling water. Let stand 24 hours. Drain off water. Cut cucumbers in desired pieces. Add alum and cover with boiling water. Let stand 24 hours. Rinse in clear water; drain off. Boil vinegarRecipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
