Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 lb
- salt - 4 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 item
- alum - 4 Tbsp
- cucumbers - 1 item
- pickling spice - 4 Tbsp
How to make pickles:
Wash cucumbers, dry them and put in a gallon jar. Add the alum, salt and pickling spice. Fill jar with vinegar. Leave in jar 3 months. Drain off vinegar. Slice cucumbers and put back in jar. Add the sugar and let sugar melt.Recipe categories: Low protein, Snacks, Vegetables.
