Sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2/3 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef
- cracker crumbs - 2/3 c
- can pineapple tidbits or chunks - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Mix ground beef, cracker crumbs, onion, milk and salt. Roll into balls and dip in flour and brown. Separate pineapple juice and add water to make 1 cup liquid. Add cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar and lemon juice. Cook until thick. Add pineapple and simmer 15 minutes. Pour sauce over meatballs and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350°.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Main dish, Ground beef.
