- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- powdered sugar
- can crushed pineapple with juice - 20 oz
How to make swedish nut cake:
Icing:8 oz. pkg. cream cheese1 1/3 c. powdered sugar1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix sugar, eggs, vanilla, chopped nuts, flour, soda and pineapple by hand with a spoon. Pour in an ungreased, unfloured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Do not overbake.Cream all icing ingredients together, except for nuts. Use a mixer. Spread on hot cake. Scatter nuts on top. Store in refrigerator at once. Keeps in freezer for a year.
