Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- light cream
- hot water - 3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- fine bread crumbs - 1 c
- ground beef - 2 lb
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- beef bouillon cubes - 3 item
How to make swedish meatballs:
Soften bread crumbs in 1 cup milk. Add beef, onion, eggs and seasonings. Mix thoroughly. Shape into balls. Heat butter in a large skillet; add meatballs and stir 1/3 cup flour (increase?) into drippings. Dissolve beef cubes in hot water and gradually add to flour mixture. Add milk and cream. Cook over low heat for 3 minutes. Add meatballs and simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Makes large pan for hors d'oeuvres or serve over noodles.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Ground beef, Beef.
