  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • oil - 3/4 c
  • soda
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • cream of tartar - 1 tsp

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream sugars, oleo and eggs and beat. Add all other ingredients. Put in balls the size of walnuts on greased sheet. Press with bottom of glass dipped in water and sugar and flatten out. I usually only dip glass in water once but have to dip in sugar after each one. Bake at 350° until done. Do not get too brown. Just barely done. Makes a lot.
