- bacon - 1 item
- quail - 1 item
How to make stuffed quail:
Clean quail by splitting along backbone so you leave the breast and legs whole. Stuff with your favorite dressing, chicken or turkey. Wrap a bacon strip around bird. Wrap in aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.I have tried prairie chickens this way and I thought they were good. The seasoning from the dressing takes out the wild taste from the game.
