Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 2 oz
- fresh large mushrooms - 3/4 1
- sweet Italian sausage, remove skin - 1/2 lb
- very small diced onion - 1 item
How to make stuffed mushrooms:
Remove mushroom stems. Dice about 1/2 or less of stems. Place mushroom caps on foil covered cookie sheet. In a mixing bowl, add sausage, stems, onions, egg, bread crumbs and cheese. Mix well. Stuff caps with mixture. Bake at 350° about 40 minutes. Serve piping hot.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Vegetables.
