Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt
  • egg - 1 item
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • diced onion - 1/2 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef
  • bread crumbs - 3/4 c
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
  • oregano leaves - 1/4 tsp

How to make italian meat loaf:

Combine raw meat, 4 ounces of tomato sauce and all the remaining ingredient, except the Mozzarella cheese together. Form a large ball and then roll out the meat mixture flat and long like a jelly roll. Sprinkle 3/4 of the Mozzarella cheese over the top of the flatten meat mixture. Then roll it up like a jelly roll folding the sides to seal the cheese in until you have a loaf. Place in 1 1/2-quart loaf baking dish (uncovered) in a 350° oven for 1 hour. Pour remaining tomato sauce over and sprinkle remaining cheese on top during the last 15 minutes of baking.
