Italian meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt
- egg - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- diced onion - 1/2 c
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
- oregano leaves - 1/4 tsp
How to make italian meat loaf:
Combine raw meat, 4 ounces of tomato sauce and all the remaining ingredient, except the Mozzarella cheese together. Form a large ball and then roll out the meat mixture flat and long like a jelly roll. Sprinkle 3/4 of the Mozzarella cheese over the top of the flatten meat mixture. Then roll it up like a jelly roll folding the sides to seal the cheese in until you have a loaf. Place in 1 1/2-quart loaf baking dish (uncovered) in a 350° oven for 1 hour. Pour remaining tomato sauce over and sprinkle remaining cheese on top during the last 15 minutes of baking.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
