Stuffed green peppers
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- boiling water - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 2 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- chili sauce - 1/4 c
- cooked rice
- large green peppers - 3 item
- shredded cheese - 2 Tbsp
How to make stuffed green peppers:
Halve pepper lengthwise; remove stems, seeds and membranes. Add 2 teaspoons salt and enough water to cover peppers and boil 5 minutes. Drain.Combine other ingredients except cheese; mix well. Fill pepper halves with this mixture and place in 1/2 inch of hot water in a baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese over peppers and bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese melts. Makes 6 servings.
