Stuffed flounder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- butter - 4 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- Parmesan cheese - 3 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- mushrooms, sliced - 8 oz
- large onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- fresh parsley - 2 tsp
- fillets of flounder - 8 item
- clove garlic, minced or powdered - 1 item
- Add oregano, parsley and lemon juice
How to make stuffed flounder:
In frying pan cook mushrooms, onions and garlic in butter until onions are lightly browned. Add oregano, parsley and lemon juice. Lay fillets flat in baking dish (closely fit). Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Divide stuffing into 4 equal parts and lay over fillets. Place 4 other fillets on top and sprinkle with additional lemon juice and bake for 30 minutes at 350°.Sauce:4 Tbsp. butter6 Tbsp. flour3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese2 c. milk salt and pepper to taste Pour excess liquid from fish after cooked and pour white sauce over and sprinkle more Parmesan on top. Put under broiler to lightly brown.
