Chicken tetrazzini
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- dry white wine - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- can sliced mushrooms - 1 oz
- linguine - 4 oz
- chicken breast - 1 lb
How to make chicken tetrazzini:
In saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Mix in flour, stirring. Stir in broth, milk and wine. Cook, stirring, until sauce is smooth and thickened. Stir in cheese, mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste; set aside. Cook pasta; drain. Cut chicken into 8 pieces; flatten to 1/4-inch thick. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in heavy skillet; cook chicken 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Toss noodles with sauce, reserving 4 teaspoons. Place on serving platter; place browned chicken on noodles.
