Strawberry glace pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 2 Tbsp
- margarine, softened - 1/4 c
- Bisquick
- strawberries - 6 c
How to make strawberry glace pie:
Pie Shell:1 c. Bisquick1/4 c. margarine, softened2 Tbsp. boiling water Mash enough berries to make 1 cup. Mix sugar and cornstarch in 2-quart pan. Stir in water and strawberries gradually. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Cool. Spread softened cream cheese on bottom of pie shell. Fill shell with remaining strawberries. Pour cooked mixture over the top. Refrigerate until set, about 3 hours.Pie Shell: Mix Bisquick and margarine in small bowl. Add boiling water; stir vigorously until soft dough forms. Press dough firmly with floured hands in ungreased 9-inch pie pan. Bring dough to the rim of the pan. Bake at 450° until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
