Spinach salad

Ingredients/Components

• salt - 1 tsp
• Crisco oil - 1/2 c
• red wine vinegar - 1/4 c
• oregano - 1/8 tsp
• freshly ground black pepper - 1 item
• fresh spinach - 1 lb
• bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 1/4 lb
• hard-cooked egg, diced - 1 item
• small red onion, separated into rings - 1 item

How to make spinach salad:

Wash and pat dry spinach. Add bacon, diced egg and onion. Combine Crisco oil and remaining ingredients in a screw-top jar. Cover tightly; shake vigorously to blend well. Pour dressing over spinach mixture; toss lightly to coat evenly. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
