Spinach salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- red wine vinegar - 1/4 c
- oregano - 1/8 tsp
- freshly ground black pepper - 1 item
- fresh spinach - 1 lb
- bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 1/4 lb
- hard-cooked egg, diced - 1 item
- small red onion, separated into rings - 1 item
How to make spinach salad:
Wash and pat dry spinach. Add bacon, diced egg and onion. Combine Crisco oil and remaining ingredients in a screw-top jar. Cover tightly; shake vigorously to blend well. Pour dressing over spinach mixture; toss lightly to coat evenly. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: American, Salads, North american.
