sugar - 1 c
cinnamon - 1 tsp
eggs - 2 item
milk - 1/2 c
chopped nuts - 1/2 c
flour - 2 c
baking powder - 2 tsp
shortening - 1/2 c
ginger - 1 tsp
raisins - 3/4 c
cloves - 1/2 tsp
grape preserves - 1 c

How to make spice cake:

Cream shortening. Add sugar and eggs, one at a time. Add preserves. Add dry ingredients with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Add nuts and raisins that have been dredged with small amount of the flour called for in recipe. Bake in a Bundt pan at 350° until done.
