Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- medium onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- medium green pepper, diced - 1/2 item
- rice - 1 c
- undrained stewed tomatoes - 2 c
How to make spanish rice:
Heat margarine in saucepan; add onion, green pepper and rice. Cook and stir over high heat until lightly browned. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add 1/2 pound ground beef if desired. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
