Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- cooked rice - 3 c
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- slices bacon, diced - 6 item
- large tomato sauce - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Fry bacon in skillet until crisp; remove bacon and drain. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Add onion and green pepper to drippings in skillet; cook and stir until onions are tender. Stir in bacon and remaining ingredients. Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes; do not cover.
