Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 1 crushed
- can chicken broth - 1 oz
- tomato sauce - 2 Tbsp
- long grain white rice uncooked - 1 c
- cumin or 2 dashes - 1/16 tsp
How to make spanish rice:
Heat oil. Add chopped onion and rice to oil. Stir until the rice is light brown. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Turn down heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit 5 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
