Sourdough bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- warm water
- corn oil - 1/2 c
- sourdough bread starter - 1 c
- flour a little extra if needed - 6 c
How to make sourdough bread:
Mix all ingredients until dough is no longer sticky. Grease a large bowl; turn dough to coat all sides and top. Cover with towel and let set 8 to 12 hours. Do not refrigerate.Divide into 3 equal parts; knead 8 to 10 times. Add flour if sticky. Form into rolls or loaves. Makes 3 loaves or 36 rolls. Cover lightly; let rise 4 to 6 hours or 8 to 12 hours if needed. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes for loaves or 20 to 25 minutes for rolls.
